A Yoga Workshop with Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Emma Henry.
Bhakti is the yoga of Supreme love, the yoga of devotion. Bhakti yoga, like any other forms of yoga, is a path to God or Self-realization and to having an experience of oneness and a connection with everything. Some people don’t consider themselves naturally devotional and feel that surrendering could be seen as something they are losing to and therefore feel that this path of yoga is irrelevant to their practice.
When we surrender it is the art of dedicating our abilities, all of our actions with love to something higher than our limited ego. How then could any action be wrong? This is the perfect lifesaver as we navigate in this hectic modern existence a perfect way to move forward into the new year with grace, letting go of the old and embracing the new. In fully devoting ones practice whether it be a headstand, meditation or chanting, with the right intention, with the energy of love, we can elevate the mind and expand the heart with the sweetest approach to yoga. In this Bhakti filled workshop, we will be joined by special guest Tulasi Sutaria for live music and kirtan.
Emma Henry was introduced to yoga in the mid 90s and has been teaching since 1998 Her background in dance and martial arts is evident in her dynamic, innovative and playful choreography and understanding of anatomy and the subtle body.
